The Parish Profile consists of seven sections, each with multiple questions. The first several sections focus on the church building, our worship patterns, and related activities. Completing these sections has been relatively straightforward. These are followed by sections on parish trends, statistics, and finances. These are also straight-forward, but more exacting.
The final section, Parish and Congregational Life and Ministry, is the most challenging. It asks more thought-provoking questions about our life together. Some examples include:
It was these sorts of challenging questions that led the Selection Committee to recommend that Saint Andrew’s work with Congregational Coaches, so that everyone could participate.
Given that the coaching sessions have been postponed until the fall, the committee has been working on these more challenging topics. Your responses to the Congregational Questionnaire have informed our discussions of many of these questions. Still, it has taken several meetings and multiple conversations. The committee has learned a lot in the process.
But it is the last two questions of the profile that we have found to be the most challenging. And with the follow up questions there are a total of five different, though related, questions.
We need to hear from you to answer these final questions which are:
It is a tight deadline. Please return your responses to the box at the back of the sanctuary no later than Monday, May 3. The committee will then meet to discuss and summarize your responses. Once we have completed the profile, we will submit our materials to the Archdeacon.
There are blank forms with the final questions at the back of the sanctuary. You may also request a blank form by emailing the committee through this link.
Note: You may also email your responses to the committee using this link, but then your responses would no longer be anonymous.
The Selection Committee has completed the summary of your responses to the congregational questionnaire. Several hardcopies are available at the back of the sanctuary and in Janke Hall. You may also request a copy by emailing the committee by clicking here.
Please specify whether you wish a printed hard copy (to be picked up at the church) or a PDF file (which will be emailed to you).
Paper copies of the questionnaire will be available following each Sunday service. You may also request that copy be mailed to you by clicking here. Please provide your mailing address in the message.
We will also be emailing parishioners with a link to the electronic version of the questionnaire hosted by SurveyMonkey. If you do not receive the email, please click here and provide your preferred email address in the message.
You should complete only one questionnaire—either a paper copy or the online version.
If you have any questions, you may speak with any member of the Selection Committee following our Sunday services, or you may message us by clicking here.
Please complete the questionnaire by February 23. You may return it following either Sunday service. You may also mail you completed questionnaire to:

While much of their work must necessarily be done in confidence, we will keep you informed of their progress. Please pray for the committee as they share their gifts for the good of the parish.
Almighty God, giver of every good gift:
Look graciously on St Andrew's,
and so guide the minds of those who shall
choose a Rector for this parish,
that we may receive a faithful Pastor,
who will care for your people and equip us for our ministries;
through Jesus Christ our Lord. Amen

Greetings,
A quick introduction. I have met some members of the St. Andrew’s parish family since I started on September 1st and look forward to meeting you soon.
Born and raised in England, I moved to Montreal as a teenager with my family. I have called Waterloo Region my home since moving here in 1986 with my fiancé.
My first career was in engineering in a variety of industries including aircraft and automotive, before moving into my second career in business and consulting in range of areas including bread-making and ticketing, and most recently my third career is in ministry as a parish priest. You can read a little more about me on the parish webpage and in my Sermon on September 7.
Do not hesitate to reach out to me. In addition to Sunday morning, I will normally be in the office at the church on Tuesday and Wednesday mornings, 9am-1pm. I can be reached by email at margaretwalker@diohuron.org , or by phone or text at 519-577-7779.
Monday is normally my Sabbath and I will usually respond to emails the next day.
I look forward to journeying with you through this time of transition.
Blessings,
Margaret +
