After moving to Ontario, she acquired her professional engineering licence in 1990 and continues to be licenced (non-practicing.) In 1995 Margaret was awarded her MBA from Wilfrid Laurier University.
In engineering and business Margaret has worked on planes, military hardware, prototype debit card machines and ticketing for public transit amongst other technologies.

She currently chairs the Cemetery Committee and is the Diocesan Cemetery Coordinator (staff position.)
Margaret spent over 40 years with her friend, partner and husband Glenn (d.2024) travelling, sometimes by motorbike (Margaret rode her own bike). Preparing and eating foods from around the world was a shared joy and one that Margaret continues to pursue. When not working Margaret may be found in the pool, on the curling rink or possibly listening to some Jazz.
