Prison Outreach:

As part of our parish and deanery outreach to the Grand Valley Institution for Women (and other correctional institutions), our parishioners are welcome to participate in the 'Angel Tree' Christmas project. Every year, hundreds of thousands of children in Canada experience the stigma and loneliness of being separated from an incarcerated parent. By participating in this outreach you give a child a special gift with a written gift tag from their parent, letting them know they are never forgotten, and creating the joy of lasting connection in Jesus's love. Register to sponsor a child at angeltreechristmas.ca and click on "sponsor a child today" and fill in the form (or speak to the rector if you are not online, but wish to join). A coordinator will then be in touch with a match, which could be local (involving you dropping off the gift), or distant (involving you sending a package by post).
