On this day Fr. Matthew read a portion of Bishop Linda’s charge to diocesan synod. (It’s really good!) He prefaced it with some words on how the Dismissal that closes our liturgy every week shouldn’t be interpreted as being let off the hook (“OK, you can go have brunch now!”), but as a sending out into the world in mission. That’s where the “miss” in “dismissal” comes from, after all.
